Board of Directors and Advisors
The Osborne Partners Board of Directors includes the executive team of Justin McNichols, Sonia Von Berg, Charles Else, and Alicia Cheng. Additionally the following experienced executives are advisors and/or members of the Board of Directors.
Charles D. Osborne II, Advisor & Former Chairman
Charley was the President and a Portfolio Manager for Osborne Partners for nearly 40 years. In the early 1980s, Mr. Osborne helped transition the firm from the previous generation, and laid the foundation of what Osborne Partners is today. Beginning in 2010, he successfully oversaw the transition to the present generation. Charley served as the Chairman of the Board and retired at the beginning of 2021. Charley received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UCLA and a M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.
Norman D. Villarina, Managing Partner – Industry Capital
Mr. Villarina serves as Managing Partner of Industry Capital, a $3 billion private equity firm investing in real assets globally. In 1999, he co-founded Industry Ventures, now a $5 billion venture capital firm specializing in the secondary market, and served as a general partner from 1999 to 2003 and subsequently spun-off Industry Capital. Prior to that, he was a private and public equity portfolio manager at Eos Partners and Cassandra-Chase Partners in New York City. Previous to that Mr. Villarina worked at Wells Fargo Bank and Lehman Brothers. Mr. Villarina received a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and M.B.A. from Columbia University.
Douglas Wertheimer, Partner – Industry Capital
Mr. Wertheimer serves as a Partner of Industry Capital, a $3 billion private equity firm investing in real assets globally. Prior to joining Industry Capital in 2004, he was a successful entrepreneur with several well-known ventures in media and entertainment, consumer products and financial services. From 1999 to 2002, he was a founding executive with Size Technologies, an electronic payments company acquired by First Data Corporation in 2006. From 1995 to 1999, he was a Principal in Mark Burnett Productions, where he played a critical role in the development and sale of the successful reality TV franchises “Survivor” and “Eco-Challenge”. He received a A.B. from Princeton University and J.D. from the UCLA School of Law.
Paul G. Resnick, Advisor & Former Investment Team Member
Paul, a former Investment Team member at Osborne Partners prior to retirement, has over 40 years of experience. Mr. Resnick continues to serve on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations and has been the board chair of several. Paul received a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College and a M.B.A. from the UCLA Graduate School of Management.
